CENTENARY MEMENTO
When the four Soldiers left Whenaupai yesterday in an R.N.Z.A.F plane for Australia on the first stage of their return to England, they had with them a memento of the centenary for their Battery.
It was the case of one of the 25pdr shells fired at Rangiriri to mark the end of a one minute silence. A memento from the 16th Field Artillery, it is inscribed with particulars of the occasion.
The battery party who had what they describe as a "smashing time" also bore gifts from various people.
